Reutenbourg

Reutenbourg (German Reute Castle ) is a municipality with 396 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Bas- Rhin in Alsace region of France. It belongs to the community association Communauté de communes du Pays de Marmoutier.

Reutenbourg is from the towns Lochwiller in the northeast, Westhouse Marmoutier in the east, surrounded Jetterswiller in the south, southwest and Marmoutier Singrist in the northwest. The landscape is hilly and is used mainly for farming.

The most important institution is the Franciscan monastery Couvent de Rein fields to which the church Notre -Dame from the 14th and 15th century belongs. The monastery offers accommodation for individuals and groups, and also provides meeting rooms.

Apart from agriculture, tourism plays an important role.
