Gries im Sellrain
Gries im Sellrain is a municipality with 596 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in the district of Innsbruck Land of the federal state of Tyrol ( Austria ). The municipality is located in the judicial district of Innsbruck.

Geography
Gries is located in the middle Sellraintal, a side valley of the Inn Valley. From the Gries Lüsenstal branches whose rear part belongs to the parish of St. Sigmund im Sellrain. In addition, the coming of St. Sigmund Zirmbach in the village of Gries joins the Melach.
The municipal area includes numerous hamlet on a hillside ( Obermarendebach, ...) as well as the flood-prone valley floor between Muren ( Obergries ) and Untermarendebach.
The community is a commuter and tourist community as a starting point for hiking in summer and in winter for the nearby ski area Kühtai.

The last mayor elections took place simultaneously with the local elections on March 14, 2010.
Martin Haselwanter was elected mayor. He was the only candidate.
The village list Gries was the only party that has competed.
Tourism
In the winter of Gries from the cross-country area Lüsenstal and the nearby Active winter are well developed. In summer, the Sellraintal to take many attractive opportunities walks, for example, the Sellraintaler mountain trail.
Culture and sights
Seasonally dependent concerts held in small groups, is also worth seeing the Almauf input and output.
