Guignemicourt

Guignemicourt ( Picard: Djimicourt ) is a northern French village with 245 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the department of Somme in the Picardie region. The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Amiens, is part of the Communauté d' agglomà Amiens Métropole, in the canton Molliens- Dreuil.

Geography

The municipality is situated approximately 12 km west-southwest of Amiens, 11 km east of Molliens- Dreuil; the municipal area is approximately from the Autoroute A29 to the south.

History

When working on the Autoroute A29 numerous Gallo- Roman remains have come to light. The place is first mentioned in 1190 in the cartulary of the monastery le Gard as Gamegnicourt. The feud was dependent on the castellany - Barony of Picquigny. 1603 opened the lord of the castle, the castle for the worship of the Protestant inhabitants of Amiens. 1755 was Louis Pierre pingre, Lord of Guignemicourt, liege lord.
