Hérissart

Hérissart is a northern French village with 559 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) by the Somme in the Picardie region. The municipality belongs to the canton Acheux -en- Amiénois and is part of the Communauté de communes du Pays du Coquelicot.

Geography

The municipality is situated approximately 17 km north- west of Amiens on the road D60 Department of Havernas about Naours after Contay. By western municipality the department D11 road runs from Amiens Arras direction.

History

Referenced to a clearing of the forest of Vicogne name of the previously known by its sandstone quarries community is a document called the year 662. 1774 donated the last lord of Hérissart, Guy Antoine Picquet, a still existing bell for the church. The important place in the production of linen suffered by the fire of 1842 a setback.
