Lignières-Châtelain
Lignières- Châtelain ( Picard: Lignère - Catelain ) is a northern French village with 340 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the department of Somme in the Picardie region. The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Amiens, is part of the Communauté de communes du Sud -Ouest Amiénois, in the canton Poix- de -Picardie.
Geography
The municipality is located 9 km west of Poix- de -Picardie at the department road D1029 ( former Route nationale 29), which is here crossed by the road department D36.
History
Excavations have unearthed traces of Roman settlement. The castle was terminated around 1894.
