Marcel Fässler (bobsleigh)

Marcel Fässler ( born February 21, 1959) is a former Swiss bobsledder and Olympic champion.

Marcel Fässler worked at the PTT and was a member of the Bobsleigh Zurich. Although he had never achieved a medal placement with an international or the Swiss Championship, he was instead Rolf Strittmatter in the Swiss squad for the 1988 Olympics in Calgary. There he joined along with Kurt Meier and Werner Stocker man and four of Ekkehard setter. In the third passage reached author's Bob the fastest run time of all participants and took the lead, Wolfgang Hoppe from the GDR came in the fourth round until seven hundredths of a second setter approach, but thanks to his third run author's team won the Olympic gold medal.
