Mücke Motorsport
The Team Mücke Motorsport was founded in 1998 by former racing driver and triple Autocross European champion Peter Mücke. First, the mosquito team gathered in various regional and national racing series his experience.
In subsequent years, the mosquito team was in the Formula BMW ADAC and the Formula 3 Euro Series season. Both race series were held in the framework program of the DTM. During this time went for mosquito and the future Formula 1 driver Christian Klien, Robert Kubica, Sebastian Vettel, Mark Winkelhock and Sebastien Buemi.
With events in the DTM, Formula 3, Formula BMW ADAC Formula Masters and GP3 Series Mücke Motorsport is the largest German private racing team.
DTM
2005 mosquito was then works team for Mercedes -Benz in the DTM. In the first season we went with two Mercedes C - class car of the previous year (2004) at the start. In addition to the Greek Alexandros Margaritis, the team undertook also the son of the team owner Stefan Mücke. With the technically inferior last year's car, the team could at least go out four top - ten finishes.
Due to the respectable debut Results Mercedes -Benz familiar to Berliners during the 2006 season at three vehicles. In addition to the mandatory two year-old car and a two-year vehicle was used. The rider of the year 2006, Stefan Mücke and Daniel La Rosa last year's car, and the Scot Susie Stoddart in the 2004 model. From the 2008 season began a mosquito only two year-old car. After la Rosa left the DTM and Lauda and Stoddart future started for Persson Motorsport, mosquito undertook two DTM newcomers: In addition to the reigning vice-champion of the British Formula 3 Championship, Maro Engel, was former Formula 1 driver Ralf Schumacher for the team won. Schumacher won this year three championship points, Engels best result was a ninth place at the Norisring in Nuremberg.
In 2009, Schumacher moved into the new cars of HWA. Angel remained the team and Mathias Lauda returned by Persson back to mosquito. After Angel was able to convince with constant points places, Lauda landed just a point while chaos race at Dijon -Prenois. Angel was at the end of the season with eight points fourth- best annual car driver and won only one point less than the six-time F1 Grand Prix winner Ralf Schumacher technically better cars.
2010 starts next to Maro Engel, the former Formula 1 driver and 13- time Grand Prix winner David Coulthard for the team. Mathias Lauda not only had to vacate his cockpit, but also leave the DTM.
