Peter Kennaugh

Peter Kennaugh ( born June 15, 1989 in Douglas, Isle of Man) is a British track and road racing cyclist from the Isle of Man.

Sporting successes

Peter Kennaugh was 2006 Junior European Champion in the Team Pursuit. At the Junior World Championships in Ghent, he won the gold medal in the scratch and bronze in the team pursuit. The next year he became European Champion Junior and U23 class in the Team Pursuit. In addition, he was junior vice-European champion in scratch and national champion in the individual pursuit and points race. With Adam Blythe, he won the UIV Cup in Ghent and in 2008 he was with Jonathan Bellis at the races in Berlin and Copenhagen successfully. He also became British in 2008 with Mark Cavendish Track Cycling Champion in Madison the elite class.

On the road Kennaugh won a stage in the 2006 Bike Line Two Days. The next year he was British champion in the road race the junior class. In the Belgian stage race of Keizer Juniores Koksijde he was first overall. 2008 Kennaugh was British champion in the road race in the U23 class and he won the Italian one-day race Trofeo Internazionale Bastianelli.
