Saint-Louis (Moselle)

Saint- Louis ( German Saint-Louis in Pfalzburg, 1940-44 Heier mountain ) is a commune with 676 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011 ) in the department of Moselle in the Lorraine region. It belongs to the district Sarrebourg and Canton Phalsbourg. Mayor ( maire ) since 2001 Gilbert Fixaris. The inhabitants call themselves Ludoviciens.

Geography

Saint- Louis is located about ten kilometers east of Sarrebourg at an altitude 215-393 m above sea level, the average height is 360 m. The municipality covers 9.28 km ².

The municipality of Saint -Louis, the two courtyards Henning ( Heningerhof ) and noodle Hoff include ( Nudelhof ).

History

The town was founded in 1629 by Ludwig von Lorraine - Guise and already in 1634 again destroyed and depopulated. It was not until 1705 began the reconstruction and resettlement of the village. During the French Revolution, Saint -Louis was temporarily Heyer mountain.
