Saint Mary's University (Philippines)

The Saint Mary's University is located in the municipality of Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya province in the Philippines. She is considered one of the most important educational institutions in the administrative region of Cagayan Valley.

Faculties

It is home to nine different faculties, which are divided into high school, technical school zones as well as vocational training. These include the School of Accountancy, Arts & Sciences, Business, Education, Health Services, Public Administration & Governance, Computing Sciences, Engineering & Architecture and the College of Law. There are counted about 250 graduates at these faculties every year.

The Saint Mary's University still houses a secondary school and a high school, attended by 2000 pupils together.

History

The University's history begins in 1928 as the St. Mary's Elementary School was opened. The expansion of the school began in 1934 as a high school field was opened. After the Second World War, in 1947, the education program has been extended to the college area, so that the first outlets in the areas of Bachelor of Science in Commerce, (1951 ), Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, (1955) and the Graduate School, (1962), were recorded.

With the expansion of the training programs an extensive expansion program of the university was in 1968, under the State Development Programme for the modernization of the Magat Valley, started. It was 1971, the Gomburza - building and in 1972 the D- hall inaugurated. This was followed by the Gym - Auditorium ( 1981), Chapel- Library Building (1983 ), new Elementary Central Building (1985 ), High School Science Building (1986 ), Central Elementary Annex ( 1990), new High School Building (1992). In 1995, the college was elevated to the rank of a university and allowed the expansion of the faculties. The further expansion of infrastructure included the College of Law Building (1996 ), Hantson Hall ( 1998), Institute of Science and Mathematics Building (1999 ), St. Joseph 's Inn (2001), Sacred Heart Center (2002), High School Building ( phase I) in 2003, and Balay na Alumni ( 2003).
