1967–68 Copa del Generalísimo

The Generalísimo Cup 1967/68 was the 65th edition of the Spanish Football Cup competition, which takes place today under the name Copa del Rey.

The contest started on October 1, 1967, and ended with the final on July 11, 1968 at the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu in Madrid. Defender of the Cup competition was the FC Valencia. The title was won by the CF Barcelona a 1-0 victory in the final against arch-rivals Real Madrid. Thus, the Catalans qualified for the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1968/69.

Final

The game lead the final game by the referee Antonio Rigo proved to be highly controversial.
