68th Golden Globe Awards
The Golden Globe Awards 2011 were from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association ( HFPA ), a group of International Film Journalists awarded on 16 January 2011 for the 68th time. The award was presented in 25 categories for outstanding achievements in the fields of film and television. The ceremony took place in Beverly Hills as part of a gala dinner at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
The discussion was, as already at the event last year, the comedian Ricky Gervais.

The nominations in the 25 categories were announced on 14 December 2010. Were considered feature films and television programs, which were first performed between 1 January and 31 December 2010. Foreign language films must have been premiered in the country of origin between 1 November 2009 and 31 December 2010.
The most successful film was David Fincher's The Social Network, which was able to put four of his six nominations in victories. The drama about the emergence of the social network Facebook had dominated the American film awards season, winning the awards in the categories of best film drama, best director, best screenplay and best film music.
For every two awards were David O. Russell's boxing drama The Fighter ( Best Supporting Actor - Christian Bale and Melissa Leo ) and the comedy The Kids Are All Right ( Best Comedy, Best Comedy Actress - Annette Bening ). Best Drama performers were the US-American Natalie Portman Darren Aronofsky for settled in the New York ballet milieu psychological thriller Black Swan and the Brit Colin Firth for his performance as stuttering monarch King George VI. in The King's Speech. The historical film had led the field with seven nominations favorites.
The Danish film drama In a Better World by Susanne Bier triumphed in the category of Best Foreign Language Film. The story of two boys (played by Markus Rygaard and William Jøhnk Nielsen ) who are neglected by their parents and make revenge explosive devices, is also Denmark's official Oscar nominee in the same category.
In the television series Glee, the division, taking three prices from best ( Best Series, Best Supporting Actor - Jane Lynch and Chris Colfer ).
