Aubigny (Somme)

Aubigny ( Picard: Aubignin ) is a northern French village with 473 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the department of Somme in the Picardie region. The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Amiens, in the canton of Corbie and is part of the Communauté de communes du Val de Somme.

Geography

History

Aubigny is called 662 in the founding document of the Abbey of Corbie. 1527 a new church was built on a raised by the abbey of Corbie available property. In 1636 the town was burned down at the siege of Corbie. The church was rebuilt in 1821.
