Bacouel-sur-Selle
Bacouel -sur- Selle ( Picard: Bacoué -su - Selle ) is a northern French village with 468 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) by the Somme in the Picardie region. The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Amiens, is part of the Communauté de communes du canton de Conty, in the canton Conty.
Geography
The community is mostly on the left (western) bank of the Selle and is bordered to the west by the municipality of Creuse. It extends east to the department D210 road about 7 km south-west of Amiens. The municipality is crossed in the north west of the railway line Amiens -Rouen; It was further crossed by the disused since the late 1980s railway line from Amiens to Beauvais. The district of La Montagne is located east of the Selle.
History
The reign of Bacouel belonged to the d' Alboval family.
