Balıkesir Province

Balıkesir is a Turkish province in the west of the country. To the west it borders on the Aegean Sea, north of the province of Çanakkale and the Marmara Sea. In the province of around one million people, of which the eponymous provincial capital of Balıkesir approximately 250,000 inhabitants.
