Dommartin (Somme)

Dommartin ( Picard: Domartin ) is a northern French village with 345 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the department of Somme in the Picardie region. The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Amiens, is part of the Communauté de communes du Val de Noye, in the canton Boves.

Geography

The traversed by the railway line Paris -Lille municipality lies on the right ( eastern ) bank of the Noye opposite Cottenchy about 6 km north of Ailly- sur- Noye and 5.5 km south of Boves at the department road D90. In Dommartin there is a breakpoint ( Dommartin- Remiencourt ) of the web.

History

The municipality received the Croix de guerre as a distinction from 1914 to 1918.
