Forchheim (district)

The Forchheim district located in the south of the district of Upper Franconia in Bavaria. Geography

History

Most of the area around Forchheim stood up to the occupation of the Bishopric of Bamberg by Bavarian troops on November 29, 1802, almost 800 years under the supremacy of the Bishop of Bamberg.
