Fréchencourt

Fréchencourt ( Picard: Fèrchincourt ) is a northern French village with 245 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the department of Somme in the Picardie region. The municipality is located in the Canton of Villers -Bocage and is part of the Communauté de communes du Bocage et de l' Hallue.

Geography

Fréchencourt is mainly on the right bank of the river Hallue at the Department D115E road, about 9.5 km north- west of Corbie. The castle is located on the western edge.

History

The rule already existed in 1280., You came to the last Dincourt family. In December 1870, the Battle of the Hallue took place in the area.
