Harry W. Griswold

Harry Wilbur Griswold ( born May 19, 1886 a member West Salem, La Crosse County, Wisconsin, † July 4, 1939 in Washington DC ) was an American politician. In 1939, he represented the state of Wisconsin in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Harry Griswold attended the common schools and then studied at the University of Wisconsin in Madison agriculture. In the following years he worked in this industry, where he specialized in animal husbandry. Between 1912 and 1929, Griswold was a member of the school board of West Salem. From 1930 to 1936 he worked in the State Commission with vocational training.

Politically, Griswold member of the Republican Party. From 1932 to 1936 he sat in the Senate of Wisconsin. In the congressional elections of 1938, he was elected in the third constituency of his state in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington, where he became the successor of Gardner R. Withrow on January 3, 1939. But Harry could Griswold its actually runs until January 3, 1941 legislative session in Congress do not quit because he already died on July 4, 1939.
