Itzstedt

Itzstedt [ ̩'itsʃte ː t] ( Low German Ietz ) is a municipality in the district of Segeberg in Schleswig-Holstein.

Geography and transport

Itzstedt is located about 16 km northeast of Norderstedt on the main road 432, the road connecting Hamburg -Bad Segeberg.

Along the main road runs mostly hourly bus number 7550 from the ox- inch subway station to the station Bad Segeberg. Weekdays is in the rush hours in the load direction ( in the morning hours from Hamburg, in the afternoon towards Bad Segeberg ) compresses the clock to 30 minutes. On Sunday, the bus runs every two hours.

In addition, a connection on the line 7141 is mainly weekdays every two hours offered by Henstedt -Ulzburg train station to train station Bad Oldesloe. Also, this line crosses the municipality of Itzstedt on the B432.

Until the late 1970s the railroad Elmshorn - Barmstedt - old RST (EEO ) had a station on the northern edge of Nahe, about 1 km from Itzstedt.

History

The town was first mentioned in 1317 and was originally called " de Iddest ".

Policy

Of the 17 seats in the municipal council, the CDU has been the municipal election 2008, five seats and the FDP, the SPD and the voter community UBI have four seats.
