Hitzhusen

Hitzhusen is a municipality in the district of Segeberg in Schleswig-Holstein.

Geography and transport

Hitzhusen is just west of Bad Bramstedt on the main road 206 to Itzehoe.

History

Hitzhusen was first mentioned in 1286 as Hyddeshusen.

Policy

Of the 13 seats in the municipal council, the CDU has been the local elections 2008 eight seats and the voter community KWV five.

Economy

In the originally agricultural community today outweighs the residential use. There is also a large number of small and medium-sized businesses.

Personalities

The landscape painter and graphic artist Hinrich Wrage was born in 1843 in Hitzhusen.
