Oersdorf

Oersdorf is a municipality in the district of Segeberg in Schleswig-Holstein.

Geography and transport

Oersdorf located about 20 km north of Norderstedt in a rural environment. West extend the former Federal Highway 433 from Norderstedt to cold churches and the Federal Highway 7 from Hamburg to Schleswig. The railway line Hamburg- Altona- cold church Neumünster AKN runs through the neighboring city of cold churches.

History

Archaeological finds evidence of a settlement in the Bronze Age.

The town was first mentioned in 1496 as Oygeestorpp.

Policy

Of the eleven seats in the municipal council voters Community ÖWV since the local elections in 2013 five seats, the voter community AWOE have four seats and the FDP and the SPD per one seat
