Tarbek
Tarbek is a municipality in the district of Segeberg in Schleswig-Holstein. Alt- Erfrade situated in the municipality.
Geography and transport
Tarbek is about 22 km east of Neumünster in a rural environment. Northwest of Tarbek the Federal Highway 21 and State Road 430 intersect From 1911-1961 Tarbek was the small train station Kiel Segeberg, whose tracks were removed in 1962.
History
Numerous megalithic monuments, including the dolmen of Tarbek suggest a prehistoric settlement.
Tarbek was first mentioned in 1305 as terbecke. The place name probably means dripping Bach and refers to a source that was originally in place.
Policy
The voters Community WGT has since the municipal election of 2008, all seven seats in the municipal council.
