The Lipetsk Oblast (Russian Липецкая область / transcription Lipetsk oblast ) is an oblast in the south-central part of Russia.

The Don flows through the oblast, which lies in the East European Plain. Major transport routes which cross the region, such as the connection between Moscow and the North Caucasus.

Economy

The main industries are the iron processing and mechanical engineering. Between the regional center and the city of Lipetsk Grjasi extends to 1027 hectares established in 2005 Lipetsk Special Economic Zone.

Administrative divisions and cities

The Lipetsk Oblast is divided into 18 Rajons and two urban districts, formed by the cities of the oblast, the administrative center of Lipetsk and Yelets. There are a total of eight Oblast cities:
