Méréaucourt

Méréaucourt ( Picard: Mreucourt ) is a northern French village with 6 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the department of Somme in the Picardie region. The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Amiens, is part of the Communauté de communes du Sud -Ouest Amiénois, in the canton Poix- de -Picardie.

Geography

Méréaucourt is on the population of one of the smallest municipalities in the department of Somme. The municipality is situated on the upper reaches of the Évoissons approximately 1 km south of Thieulloy -la -Ville near the boundary of the Somme and Oise.

History

In Méréaucourt stood a priory subordinate to the Benedictine Abbey of Saint -Valery -sur -Somme in the 12th century.
