Neuwiller

Neuwiller (Alsatian Neiwiller, German New hamlet ) is a commune with 523 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Haut-Rhin in the Alsace region. It belongs to the district Mulhouse, on the Canton Huningue and community association Porte du Sundgau.

Geography

The municipality is situated on the southeast edge of the Neuwiller Sundgau, about seven kilometers south-west of the Basel city center. Only about two kilometers of the municipal boundary are connected to French territory, in the north, east and south Neuwiller is surrounded by Swiss territory.

The Swiss neighboring communities of Neuwiller are nice book in the northwest, in the northeast of Allschwil, Oberwil the east and Biel- Benken in the south, the French neighboring communities Leymen in the southwest and Hagenthal -le- Bas in the West.

The village has direct road links to Nice book, Allschwil, Biel -Benken, Leymen and Hagenthal -le- Bas.
