Lutterbach

Lutterbach is a commune with 6118 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Haut-Rhin in the Alsace region. It belongs to the district Mulhouse, home to Canton Witten and Mulhouse Alsace AgglomÃ.

Geography

The municipality is situated on the river Lutter Doller, a left tributary of the Ill. It is bordered on the southwest by the city of Mulhouse, and is thus part of the conurbation Mulhouse. In the south of the municipality is the Autoroute A36 runs (E 54 / E 60 ), the two-lane crosses N 66 (E 512) here.

Neighboring communities of Lutterbach are Pfastatt the north and east, Mulhouse in the south west, Morschwiller -le- Bas in the south, the west and Reiningue Wittel home in the Northwest.

History

Lutterbach was first mentioned in 735 in writing in connection with a pre-existing church. The place was dependent on the Abbey Murbach. From the beginning of the 14th century until the French Revolution Lutterbach belonged to the Cistercian monastery of La Petite.
