Didenheim

Didenheim is a commune in the department of Haut-Rhin in the Alsace region. The 1743 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) scoring community is a member of Mulhouse Alsace AgglomÃ.

Geography

The community Didenheim is about six kilometers from the city center of Mulhouse and bordering directly southwest of the city. The Ill limits the settlement area Didenheims in the east. In the south and west, the municipality has shares in forest areas that together amount to about 50 acres.

Neighboring communities of Didenheim Mulhouse are in the north, Brunstatt in the east, Zillisheim in the south, instead of high in the southwest and Morschwiller -le- Bas in the northwest.

History

In Didenheim settlement remains were (3000-2000 BC ) found from the Neolithic period. The first written record under the name Tudinhain dates from the year 796 in a certificate from the monastery Murbach. The monastery possessed in Didenheim extensive lands which partly went to the monastery Lucelle 1301.

In the northwest part of a part of the commercial area Le Parc des Collines to Didenheim.

Through the village the road leads 8b D department. From Didenheim from the partial two-lane D 66 performs as a feeder for five kilometers away Autoroute A36.

In Didenheim there is a pre-school ( École maternelle ) and an elementary school.
