Orschwiller
Orschwiller (German Orschweiler ) is a commune with 624 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Bas- Rhin in the Alsace region. It is located in the agglomeration between Schlettstadt (French Sélestat ) and Rappoltsweiler (French Ribeauvillé) and belongs to the Communauté de communes de Sélestat on. Above the village is the Hohkönigsburg.
The municipal administration is housed in a half-timbered house, of which there are many in Orschwiller. Outside the populated area is the church of Saint- Maurice, which is also claimed by the neighboring village of Sankt Pilt (French Saint- Hippolyte ).
Orschwiller is a wine village on the Alsace Wine Route. Its partly to the neighboring village Kinzheim (French Kintzheim) belonging vineyard Praelatenberg is an Alsace - Gtand Cru terroir.
