Thézy-Glimont

Thézy - Glimont ( Picard: Tézin - Glimont ) is a northern French village with 488 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the department of Somme in the Picardie region. The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Amiens, is part of the Communauté d' agglomà Amiens Métropole, in the canton Boves.

Geography

The municipality lies on the right ( northern ) bank of the Avre below the mouth of the Luce and is connected by a bridge to Hailles. It extends north to the generously -developed department of road D934 and is crossed by the road department D935 that bypasses the village to the north. The distance to Boves is around 5 km. Through the town, the railway line runs from Amiens to Montdidier with a breakpoint.

History

The municipality received the Croix de guerre as a distinction from 1914 to 1918.
