Utzerath

Utzerath is a municipality in the volcanic Eifel region of Rhineland -Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Daun. The place is recognized as a tourist town government.

Geography

The municipality is located in the natural park Eifel and partly in the nature reserve "Between Ueß and Kyll ". To Utzerath includes the residential places Aspelnhof On Thommen, station Utzerath, Birkenhof, specialist clinic Thommen and Tannenhof.

The local council in Utzerath consists of six council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 by majority vote, and the honorary mayor as chairman.

Coat of arms

The coat of arms description reads: " main shield from top left, divided in half diagonally right down. In the right part is a silver shield with cross of St. Anthony Pilgrim bells in red, in the left part of the green shield a silver ax and a silver oak leaf ".
