Kerpen, Rhineland-Palatinate

Kerpen (Eifel ) is a municipality in the volcanic Eifel region of Rhineland -Palatinate. It belongs to the Hillesheim. Kerpen is a nationally recognized resort.

Geography

The municipality Kerpen (Eifel ) include the districts Kerpen with the Bernardyshof and Loogh with the Looghermühle. The district of Kerpen is located at about 430 m altitude in the Natural Park of Volcanic Eifel in the eastern part of the Hillesheimer Kalkmulde in the valley of the rudder creek, on the spur of the dolomite mountain altitude (about 511 m). Loogh is located at about 470 m in a stream valley between the Zapechlei and the Hönselberg (570 m).
