Fomerey
Fomerey is a commune in the Vosges department in the Lorraine region. It belongs to the district Epinal, Epinal to Canton -Ouest and since 2012 the Local Government Association Agglomà d' Epinal.

Geography
The 149 inhabitants (1 January 2011 ) scoring Fomerey community located eleven kilometers north-west of Epinal, the prefecture of the department of Vosges.
In the area of the municipality stems from the Ruisseau de l' Etang, a tributary of the Avière. The coming of the northwest Ruisseau de Jaunay flows north-east of the village center in the Ruisseau de l' Etang. The settlement was built on the slightly elevated terrain between the two streams. The bottom relief to Fomerey is characterized by rolling hills, in the east of the village the land rises gradually and reaches 381 meters above sea level the highest point.
The Town Hall ( Mairie ) forms the closed development surrounded by the village, a church does not exist in Fomerey. The Route de Gigney northbound is loosely built up and flows seamlessly into the territory of the municipality Gigney.
The four forest areas in the west, southwest and east of the community have come together used an area of about 100 ha, the majority of the five- km ² large municipality area is agricultural.
Neighboring communities of Fomerey are Gigney in the north, Domèvre -sur- Avière in the east, in the southeast Uxegney, Darnieulles in the south and Bocquegney in the West.
History
Remains of a Gallo- Roman settlement have been found one kilometer from the village center. The existence of the village Fomerey is attested since the 15th century. The spell of Bocquegney to the counted also the village Fomerey, was owned by the governors of Darney.

Economy and infrastructure
In Fomerey are small agricultural and handicraft enterprises located ( horticulture, facade renovation, plumbing ). Some residents commute to the nearby agglomeration Epinal. Since closure of the school in Fomerey the children are cared for in the neighboring Darnieulles.
Transport links
Fomerey is connected by road with the neighboring communities south of the community leads the partially -developed two-lane D 166 from Epinal to Vittel / Neufchâteau.
