2000 RCA Championships
The RCA Championships 2000, the 13th edition of the tennis tournament in Indianapolis. The tournament was the International Series tournament of the gold part of the male ATP series. It coincided with the tournament in Washington from 14 to 20 August 2000 Indianapolis Tennis Center on hard court. The prize money was in each case for single and double tournament $ 700,000. In individual 56 players competed against each other in a double there were 28 pairings.
Defender of the single was the Ecuadorian Nicolas Lapentti, which failed this year to six set in the third round. Instead, the Brazilian Gustavo Kuerten won his fourth title of the season. This was his second success at an International Series Gold tournament and the ninth title of his career.
In doubles, won the Australian pairing of Lleyton Hewitt and Sandon Stolle, this title of the second doubles title of the season for Stolle and the first for Hewitt was. The defending champion Jared Palmer and Paul Haarhuis both were not on this year.
