2000 Stockholm Open

The Scania Stockholm Open 2000 was the 31st edition of the local indoor tennis tournament. The tournament was the International Series tournament of the last part of the ATP series. It came together with the Samsung Open in Brighton in the final game week before the Tennis Masters Cup from 20 to 26 November 2000, instead and was held on a hard court surface. The prize money was for both single and double tournament for $ 775,000. In individual 32 players competed against each other in a double there were 16 pairings.

The single won the tournament unseeded Swede Thomas Johansson, who thus his compatriot and three-time winner Thomas Enqvist replaced as title holders. Enqvist lost right in the opening round against the eventual winner. For Johansson, it was the only title this season and the fourth of his career.

Defender of the South African Piet Norval were double and Kevin Ullyett from Zimbabwe, both of which did not participate in this year's tournament. Instead won Daniel Nestor of Canada and Mark Knowles of the Bahamas. For Nestor it was the fourth title of the season, of which he, however, achieve the first three with Sébastien Lareau. Knowles celebrated the second success in 2000 after his victory in Doha on the side of Max Mirny. It was the 14th double of his career and Nestor's 16 Most of their titles they won as a partner.
