2012–13 FA Cup
The FA Cup 2012/13 was the 132nd edition of the world's oldest football cup tournament; The Football Association Challenge Cup, or FA Cup. This Cup season began with 758 clubs.
The cup competition was launched on 11 August 2012 with the Extra Preliminary Round and ended with the final at Wembley Stadium in London on May 11, 2013. The winner of the competition was the first time Wigan Athletic. Moreover, won for the first time since 1988 a club its first FA Cup.

The FA Cup is played in rounds. Can participate, each team that has a given level of performance and has an adequate pitch. The pairings for each round will be drawn in an open draw with no seedings. The first drawn team has home advantage. If the game ends in a draw, is a return match held at the place of the other team. The return game also ends in a draw the game goes into extra time and penalties. This mode goes up to the sixth main round. From the semi-finals, there is only a game, if necessary, with extra time and penalties.
Some teams are exempted from certain rounds:
- In the second qualifying round, the teams of the Conference North / South (6th flight of English league operations ) are added.
- In the fourth qualifying round, the teams of the National Conference will be added (5th flight of English league operation ).
- In the first round the teams in the League 1 and 2 Football League ( 3rd and 4th flight of the English league operations ) are added.
- In the third main round on the first weekend of January, the teams of the Football League Championship will be added (2nd flight of English league operation ) and the Premier League ( first division of the English league operation )
The semi-final matches will be on neutral ground, the final at Wembley Stadium.
Each winner receives a premium from the television money, which is graded according round.
Main Round
First Main Round
In the first round enter each of 24 teams in the Football League One and Two in the competition.
The draw for the first round was held on 21 October 2012. The Games were held from 2 to 15 November 2012.
Second Main Round
The draw for the second major round took place on November 4, 2012.
The games were completed by November 30, 2012 to December 12, 2012.
Third main round
In this round, the teams enter the FA Premier League (20 teams) and the teams of the Football League Championship (24 teams) in the competition.
The draw for the third main round was held on 2 December 2012.
The games were completed on January 5, 2013 to January 7, 2013.
Fourth Main Round
The draw for the fourth round Main took place on 6 January 2013.
The games were completed from 25 to 27 January 2013.
Fifth Main Round
The draw for the fifth main round took place on 27 January 2013.
The games were completed from 16 to 27 February 2013.
Sixth Main Round ( Quarterfinals )
The draw for the quarter-finals took place on 17 February 2013.
The games will be completed on 9 and 10 March 2013.
Semifinal
The draw for the semi-finals took place on 10 March 2013.
The games will be completed over the weekend of 13th and 14th April 2013.
