Fayetteville Force

The Fayetteville Force were an American ice hockey team from Fayetteville, North Carolina. The team played from 1997 to 2001 in the Central Hockey League.

History

The Fayetteville Force was established in 1997 as a franchise of the Central Hockey League. After their first two seasons each occupied the fifth and thus, in the course of their division, the team qualified in the season 1999/2000 as the winner of the Eastern Division for the first time for the playoffs for the Miron Cup, in which they having in the first round 1:3 victories at the Macon Whoopee failed. The following season she also lost in the first playoff round with 2:3 victories against the Columbus Cottonmouths. Following the 2000/ 01 season, the leaders withdrew the franchise from the game operation of the CHL and broke it up.
