George Holding

George EB Holding ( born April 17, 1968 in Raleigh, North Carolina) is an American lawyer and politician. Since 2013 he represents the state of North Carolina in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

George Holding graduated from Wake Forest University in Winston- Salem. After a subsequent law degree from the same university in 1996 and was admitted to his lawyer, he began to practice in a law firm in this profession. In 1998, he abandoned his work again and acted as legal adviser on the staff of U.S. Senator Jesse Helms. In 2001 and 2002 he was again employed as a lawyer in a law firm in Raleigh. He then worked from 2002 to 2011 for federal prosecutors. By 2006, he was Deputy and then actual federal prosecutor for the eastern part of the state of North Carolina. Politically, he joined the Republican Party.

In the congressional elections of 2012 was holding in the 13th constituency of North Carolina with 57 percent of the vote to Democrat Charles Malone in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he became the successor of not more candidates Brad Miller on January 3, 2013.

George Holding is married and father of four children.
