Gönnebek

Gönnebek is a municipality in the district of Segeberg in Schleswig-Holstein.

Geography and transport

Gönnebek lies about 15 km east of Neumünster in a rural and lakeside environment. To the east runs the federal motorway 21 of Bad Segeberg to Kiel, north of State Road 430 from Neumünster to Plön. The nearest train station is in Rickling.

In Gönnebek is the source of Schwale. The municipal area is still an open grave mound in 1884, which is considered one of the most important Bronze Age sites in Schleswig -Holstein.

History
