Hasselberg

Hasselberg (Danish: Hasselbjerg ) is a municipality in the district of Schleswig -Flensburg, in Schleswig- Holstein. She is a recognized resort on the Baltic Sea and exists in its present form since 1970. The municipal area includes Baggelan (Bag Lunden ), Bobeck, Drecht, Eckenhöh, Engberg, Fehr wood, Geilenberg, Gundelsby, Hafferholz, Old Hasselberg, Holm, Hüholz ( Hyholt ), Kieholm ( Kidholm ) Kisperhy ( Kirsebærhøj ) Knorrlück, Marshall, Neelslück, Norderfeld, Pugholz ( Pugholt ) Radeland, Schwensholz, Schwackendorf ( Svakketorp ), Southshore area, Wormshöft ( Vormshoved ), Wulf wood, Eckberg, Ewers wood, mill field, Schellrott ( Skelrød ) and tail sheath.

History

The town was first mentioned in 1588 and was originally called Heselberch ( mountain with hazel ). Originally, however, the area to the Crown Estate Gelting, since the 15th century belonged to the nobility of goods Buck Hagen and Oehe. These formed until 1853 own jurisdictions. After the transition of the Duchy of Schleswig into the Prussian province of Schleswig -Holstein Gundelsby, Hassel mountain and Schwackendorf were independent rural communities in the district of Flensburg. They were always in large parish Gelting, and 1903 for the southern part of a new church was consecrated in Gundelsby. This has now the pastor, together with the even younger church in red herring and is completely independent of Gelting. In 1970, the three rural communities were combined to Hasselberg came out as the eponymous town itself.

Of the eleven seats in the municipal council, the CDU has been the local elections in 2013 five seats, the SPD and the voter community AKWG have three seats.

Coat of arms

Blazon: "In gold on blue - silver waves on a green hill, a green hazel shrub whose composed of three fruits fruit stand has silver nuts. "

In the arms of the municipality name is converted figuratively by hazel on a hill. The coat of arms is thereby a " persuasive ". Name and coat of arms figure correspond to the character marked by hills of the municipality in which the hazel has a strong presence in Knicks and copses. The number three of the fructification of hazel refers to the current three districts who see themselves in the image of this coat of arms figure as equal parts of an organic whole. The Wellenschildfuß symbolizes the proximity to the Baltic Sea, particularly the direct coastal location of the district Hasselberg.

Economy

The agricultural community lives mainly from tourism, which is an important source of income particularly in the district of Hassel mountain.
