Klappholz
Klappholz (Danish: Klapholt ) is a municipality in the district of Schleswig -Flensburg, in Schleswig- Holstein. For Holm, Elmholz, Fenn, glass wood, Neubrückenstraße, Norder wood and Westscheide lie in the municipality.
Geography and transport
Klappholz located about 20 km north of Schleswig in the landscape fishing. West of the town, the Federal Highway 7 runs to Flensburg.
History
The territory has been inhabited since the Stone Age.
The village was mentioned for the first time in 1352 as a folding Holt ( wood, in which one collects leaves as fodder by knocking off the branches ).
Westscheide was colonized from 1763. A colonist's house from Westscheide is now at the open-air museum Molfsee.
