Krumegg until the end of 2014 a municipality with 1434 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in Styria in the east of the district Graz-Umgebung. As part of the municipality of structural reform in Styria it is from 2015 with the community Stank Marein bei Graz and the ( lying in the district of Southeastern Styria ) community Petersdorf II together, the new community will be known as the market town of Sankt Marein bei Graz. This is based on the Styrian community structure reform law - StGsrG. The boundaries of the districts of Graz-Umgebung and Südoststeiermark be up to the effective date of the merger changed so that the new church will lie entirely in the district of Graz-Umgebung.

Krumegg is about 15 km east of the provincial capital of Graz in the East Styrian Hill Country.

History

The local church as an autonomous body created in 1850. After the annexation of Austria in 1938, the community came to Reichsgau Styria, 1945 to 1955 she was part of the British zone of occupation in Austria.

Erkoschlösschen

The award of the municipality coat of arms was made with effect from 1 May 1982. Coat Description: In red two silver poles topped with a silver bar in an abutting both sides gezinnter bar in shadow color.

Traffic

Krumegg is off the main roads. The south motorway (A2 ) is about 5 km above the junction Lassnitzhoehe (169 ) accessible. The church Straße ( B73 ) to Kirchbach in Steiermark is about 6 km, the field Straße (B 68) removed after track and field creek village about 11 km.

In Krumegg there is no train station. The nearest railway station is located about 7 km in Lassnitzhoehe and provides access to the Styrian Eastern Railway with hourly regional train connections to Graz and track village.

Graz Airport is about 25 km away.
