Kükels

Kükels is a municipality on the southern shore of the lake in Mözener Segeberg in Schleswig -Holstein.

History

Megalithic monuments in the municipality witness an early settlements. In the tombs, among others, a gold bracelet and a bronze sword was found.

Kükels was first mentioned in 1305 as Kukeltze and originally belonged to the monastery Segeberg. There is probably a roll-call related to the Mözener lake, originally called Küykelze.

Policy

Of the nine seats in the municipal council, the CDU has been the local elections in 2013 five seats, the voter community AFWK has four seats.
