Maasbüll

Maasbüll (Danish: Masbøl ) is a municipality in the district of Schleswig -Flensburg, in Schleswig- Holstein. Crimea, Maasbüllfeld, Maasbüllhof ( Masbølgård ) Maasbüllmoor, Neukrug ( Nykro ) Ruhnmark ( Runmark ) and Rüllschau ( Rylskov ) are located in the municipal area.

History

In the municipality grave fields from the Bronze Age have been preserved, and there are some stone-age burial mounds.

The Michaelis Church in Rüllschau was built in the 13th century on a pre-Christian place of worship. Before 1779, the tower was built was the wooden bell tower on the other side of the street. The Protestant parish Rüllschau includes the entire present-day municipality Maasbüll, but has the small parish since 1958 the pastor with Hürup together.

Rüllschau (Danish Rylskov ) was mentioned for the first time in 1430 as Rolschouw ( Forest of the wolf ). Maasbüll was first mentioned in 1445 as Masbul ( settlement on the moor ).

The still managed Landgasthof Neukrug at the old Flensburg- Kappelner Chaussee was founded in 1752, the current building was built in 1911.

In 1965 the merger of the previously independent rural communities Rüllschau and Maasbüll to the municipality Rüllschau - Maasbüll. Although Rüllschau was historically significant as Kirchdorf, sat down in 1969, the name of something larger southern village, which also commanded the railway connection and the better road access, as the sole name of the municipality through.

Policy

Of the eleven seats in the municipal council has the voter community KWG since the local elections in 2013 five seats, the CDU, the SPD and the SSW have two seats each.

Traffic

1881 a railway station was built on the railway Kiel -Flensburg in Maasbüll, making the community an economic boost. 1980, the station was shut down.
