Mückeln
Mückeln is a municipality in the volcanic Eifel region of Rhineland -Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Daun.
Geography
Mückeln located south of the volcanic Eifel region and adjacent to the district Bernkastel -Wittlich.
To Mückeln includes the residential places on fire Büsch and Sprinker mill.
History
Mückeln is first mentioned in a deed to secure the sale of land from 1336. The place was completely destroyed in 1678 by French troops. From 1794, re-occupied by French troops, the place came in 1815 with the Kingdom of Prussia. 1944 could prevent another destruction of the place, as he persuaded soldiers a German anti-aircraft mission Father Michael Demuth. Since 1946, one of the place to the then newly founded state of Rhineland -Palatinate.
1974 was Mückeln 4 regional winners in the state finals, "Our village is beautiful ."
