Peñamellera Alta
Peñamellera Alta is a municipality in the autonomous community of Asturias, in northern Spain. Bounded on the north by Llanes, on the south by Baja Peñamellera, in the west of Cabrales and of Eastern Cantabria.
Economy
Agricultural character. In Spain, the produced here queso (cheese) de Peñamellera is known and loved. In gastronomy, the prisoner in the nearby Río Cares wild salmon is extremely popular. The abundance of fish that the region is a tourist destination for avid anglers from all over Europe.
