Province of Cuneo

The Cuneo Province is a province in the Italian region Piedmont, with around 571,000 inhabitants. It is bordered to the west by France, on the north by the province of Turin, on the east by the province of Asti and on the south by the provinces of Imperia and Savona Liguria.

Geography

The province is bordered on the west and south of the Cozie Alps and the Maritime Alps. East of the Tanaro valley falls off the grounds and merges into the hills of the Langhe. There, the U-shaped massif opens to the Po valley traversed by the Tanaro and its many tributaries. Links of the Tanaro are still buttresses of the hills of Monferrato, which constrain the level between Bra and Saluzzo.

Economy

Traditionally, the inhabitants of the Province of the agriculture and livestock live. As an internationally known companies that are based in the region, is next to the harp manufacturers Salvi in Piasco still the confectionery producer Ferrero to mention in the town of Alba.

Winter sports

2006 it was the III. World Cup ski mountaineering in 2006 discharged.
