Tolk

Tolk is a municipality in the district of the district of Schleswig -Flensburg, in Schleswig- Holstein. Besides the village Tolk Lobacker and Tolkschuby lie in the municipality.

Geography

Tolk is located in a glacial valley in the loop.

History

The place is, as many archaeological finds from the Stone and Bronze Ages occupy settled very long and was first mentioned in 1192.

The Church of Tolk was born in the 11th century. Since some of the built- stones are provided with pre-Christian character, is to assume that it is located at an old place of worship.

In the middle of the 16th century the estate Tolkschuby originated from farms and in 1786 was again divided into three courtyards Alt- Tolkschuby, New Tolkschuby and Katharinenhof.

Tolk was until 31 December 2006, the administrative seat of the Office of the same name.

Of the eleven seats in the municipal council, the CDU has been the local elections in 2013 six seats and the SPD five.

Tolk-Schau

The Tolk-Schau is a family theme park with ponds, summer toboggan run, barbecue areas and natural history collections, which grew out of a fairy tale forest.
