Capodrise

Capodrise is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 9756 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Caserta in Campania. The community is located about 4 kilometers southwest of Caserta and about 23 kilometers north of Naples. the

History

Capodrise is first documented in 1113 first mentioned as Capotrisio. A subsequent designation is ( 1499 ) Capoderisio. In the 16th century the village as the surrounding countryside under the plague has (1527, 1566 ) and suffer the earthquake of 1538. Capodrise in 1928 the municipality Marcianese slammed. Only after the end of fascist rule, the current community arises again.

Traffic

East of the town is surrounded by the A1 direction Naples Caserta, Rome and northern Italy. The nearest port is located in the neighboring municipality Marcianese. The nearest train station in Recale or in Marcianese.
