Valle di Maddaloni

Valle di Maddaloni is a town ( comune ) with 2806 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Caserta in Campania. The community is located about seven kilometers east of Caserta and directly borders the province of Benevento.

History

The place is known for the Aqueduct of Vanvitelli (built 1753-1762 ). This is in collaboration with the Royal Palace of Caserta and the silk mill of San Leucio in the World Heritage List of UNESCO.

Traffic

The train station of Valle di Maddaloni is located on the railway line Caserta - Foggia. Passing through the municipality, the former State Road 265 dei Ponti della Valle (now a provincial road ) of Amorosi by Giugliano in Campania.
